Afaik It wasn't me this time, I swear. Zanev decided to take matters into his own hands without warning and deleted everyone who had a post count of 2 or less who had not posted since May 1st or thereabouts. Had I known he was going to do this, i'd have advised against it as i am sure I had already purged over 99% of the spambots we had and probably a few legitimate lurkers myself.
Anyone who wants to ensure this does not happen to them have a simple means to do so. Praise a couple of your favorite stories. That will not only be appreciated by the hard working writers who post here but also get your post count up above the limited-member threshold where you need posts approved before they post. I advise getting your post count up to at least 3; you'll be safe as houses after that. No spam posts will be approved however.
In your case Compton16 you were possibly wiped out because one of our more persistent spammers routinely ends his user names with the digit 16 for some reason; that's probably what got you flagged - likely by me... especially if your post count was really low. Sorry about that.

Please may I advise avoiding user names such as fredXYZ12 where there is a recognisable forename followed by some random letters and a number. A lot of pornographers (or more likely the same one using a new ips address) are using that style.

Please bear with us. There are so many such ****s that getting rid of them is taking the mods more time than members would believe.

I know certain members will take no more notice of what follows than they have so far of previous suggestions but welcome to the League of Dead Horse Floggers:

1) Reply to stories you enjoy (rewards are obvious) every so often.
2) If your post count does not go up, let us know!

Surely, with all the support and explanation that Jason in particular has provided recently, from now on there is no excuse for being deleted by not taking simple and considerate steps to avoid it.

I genuinely regret the upset caused to certain members who DID post regularly, one in particular who was formerly a strong supporter of mine, but surely anyone who is not prepared to act on the above advice from now on can not really expect any sympathy in the future. If I was not a mod and, therefore, supposed to be moderate in my language I might say, "Support our writers or 'koff because, if people don't support them, they will."

Rant over.

Please my I suggest that some members might like to express their appreciation for the efforts that AlexUSA and particularly Jason Toddman are making on all our behalf?

I don't post all that much but I enjoy visiting this board a couple times a week, and let me be the first to say I do appreciate what the mods are doing... taking their personal time to do, no less... to keep this board as clean as possible. There are going to be errors, regrettably, but that is what humans do. So guys, I appreciate your efforts and please don't let a few angry people deter you in making this a better place for all of us to enjoy. Jason, in particular, you are doing the best you can. That is evident from you also taking the time to post reasonable explanations to those who have been accidentally deleted. Keep up the good work, all of you.

My post from just a few days ago.

(This is a new account) I had no idea about the post number thing remaining at 0 TBH. I just realized today that my account that I've had for over a year (which I actually made several comments with) was deleted lol. Guess I should be a tad more observant next time :P

Well, your post count registers this time so that shouldn't happen to you again. Hopefully.

Please do that; it's only fair to the authors.
